2008 Annual Mint Set
The Central Bank of Ireland are pleased to announce the issue of the 2008 Annual Mint Set. This is the sixth and final mint set[1068] in the 'Heritage of Ireland' series. This set features the ancient passage tomb at Newgrange. Built over 5000 years ago, the burial chamber is entered through a long stone passage with the whole area being covered by a huge mound. The tomb is bordered by 97 kerb stones bearing decorative patterns in the Megalithic art style

This set is currently on sale and has proven very popular since it was first issued in January 2008.
2008 Baby Set[1158]
This set has been specially manufactured as a gift to celebrate the birth of a new baby, or as a christening present, by the Central Bank & Financial Services Authority of Ireland.
Inside the set is a clear pocket, to insert a baby’s photograph and you can personalise the set by inserting details of Baby’s name, date of birth, weight, hair colour and eye colour.
There is also a small treasure box for you to place in Baby’s first lock of hair, identity bracelet and other similar tokens[1199].
The 2008 Baby Set is now available for purchase and we have retained stocks of 2007 and 2006 should you require them.
The set is available in both Pink and Blue. Please specify the year date and the colour of the set you require on the order form.
